We are a community of faith that is absolutely committed to pursuing the heart of Christ as revealed in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. This is where we get our G3 language from. The G simply stands for “Great.” We believe that these Gs are the essential mandates for the Church of Jesus Christ.

It was an expert in the Jewish Law that once asked Jesus what the greatest commandment was. Jesus responded by telling him, “Love the Lord your God with everything you are.”
This is what we call G¹.

Jesus didn’t stop there. He went on to offer the 2nd greatest commandment; “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
We call this G².

Just before Jesus left earth, He issued what we have come to know as the Great Commission which could be summed up as a mandate to go make a difference for the Kingdom of God in Jesus name!
This is what we call G³.

At THE JOURNEY, we are totally committed to living out the 3 Gs in the context of our church, as well as our individual lives. We are passionate about Living a life of loving God, Loving people in community, and Serving a world in need in order to introduce them to Jesus Christ.

Our Sunday morning gatherings are for the purpose of seeing and savoring the beauty of our God. Come as you are! It is our desire that you be overwhelmed with the greatness and beauty of God leading to a complete surrender of life to the One who made you for Himself. This is where the Journey begins in this G¹ Gathering.

We offer many opportunities to press into the adventure God has for our lives and connect with fellow travelers on this journey of following Jesus. We call these opportunities G² Communities…We know first hand how important these groups are for the care, development, and spiritual depth of our people. Some of them look a little more like traditional “Sunday school” while others are “mini-church” gatherings that take place in homes throughout the city during the week. All of them are effective places to get connected in relationships, built up in the faith, and discover your unique call in the Kingdom of God.

We are very excited about what God is doing in and through this unique church. We have a buning desire to make a huge splash in our city for the glory of God and the good of mankind! We are active and involved with the needs of our community and city. We are a work in progress, but we’re not waiting around until we have it all figured out in order to make a difference for Jesus Christ in our city. We model and encourage individuals and groups in our church to throw their talents, abilities, time, and money into service for the glory of God. We call these our G³ Common Cause Ministries.
